HAS THE PACE OF LIFE STOLEN YOUR GRATITUDE?
Written by Jim Vickers

Life moves fast—too fast. Between the endless to-do lists and daily demands, it’s easy to let gratitude slip away. Instead, stress takes over, and we stop noticing the simple joys that give life its meaning. But here’s the thing: gratitude isn’t just nice to have—it’s essential.

THE IMPACT OF GRATITUDE

Gratitude isn’t just a feel-good idea—it’s a life-changer.

  •  It reduces stress.
  •  It lowers the risk of stroke and heart attack.
  •  It improves your mood.

THE PLAN: MAKE GRATITUDE A LIFESTYLE

PAUSE AND REFLECT:

Write down 10 things this week you’re grateful for. This simple act will shift your perspective and powerfully impact your future mindset.

THANK FIVE PEOPLE:

Genuinely show appreciation to 5 people this week.  Write it, say it—just do it.  You’ll brighten their day and spark a wave of gratitude and kindness.

START A RIPPLE EFFECT:

Inspire others with a small act of kindness. Pay for someone’s coffee in the drive-through, leave an exceptionally generous tip, or lend a hand.

As John F. Kennedy said:

“As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words but to live by them.”

YOUR THANKFULNESS CHALLENGE

Whether you’re reading this during Thanksgiving week or afterward, take a moment to pause, reflect, and embrace gratitude—not just as a tradition but as a way of life.

I’d  love to hear what unfolded when you intentionally thanked those five people.
